Floral Care

Le Bar de Fleur Bouquet Kits arrive trimmed and ready to arrange, however, continuous care is recommended to keep your flowers vibrant for as long as possible.

Before Arranging:

  • Wash your vase thoroughly with warm, soapy water to remove any bacteria prior to arranging.
  • Trim the stems using clean, sharp scissors or a floral cutter. Cut about an inch off the bottom of each stem at an angle to increase the surface area for water absorption.
  • Remove foliage; strip away any leaves that will sit below the waterline to prevent bacteria growth.

Continuous Care:

  • Change the water every 2-3 days.
  • Recut stems every few days by about half an inch to ensure proper water uptake.
  • Regularly remove any wilted or dying flowers to prolong the life of the arrangement.

Tips & Tricks:

  • Misting your flowers lightly with water can help maintain their freshness.
  • Keep your flowers away from fruits and vegetables, as they produce ethylene gas which can shorten their lifespan.
  • If you don't have flower food, a mixture of white vinegar, sugar, and bleach can be used as a homemade alternative.
  • Dunk your wilting hydrangeas in a bowl of water, shake, and place in the fridge for a few hours to regain freshness.
